When the Hard Work Pays Off
The 2019 Beaver Cross Country season officially came to an end on Saturday, November 2 at the Iowa state cross country meet. Senior, Zach Hein qualified for state at the district meet on October 24 in Iowa City. This marks his second time qualifying for state cross country. Hein placed fourth at this meet with an outstanding time of 17:21. At the state meet, Hein blew this time out of the water and ran a 16:48. Hein finished in 14th, placing him in the top 15. This granted him the title of All-State, an honor that many athletes strive to achieve. Zach Hein was invited to compete in the upcoming Senior All-Star meet on November 9, based on his times throughout the season.
