Victory Against Durant

The Wilton High School Girl’s Basketball team continues to accomplish its goal of improving as a team. They have been practicing hard to get where they are, with the most important victory so far being against Durant. Head Coach, Jake Souhrada, has been coaching the girls to accomplish new victories and believes the girls will improve every game they play. Coach Souhrada states, “The team is continuing to improve.  We are a young team and we hope to continue to get better each time we play.”

The next game for the girl’s basketball team is home against Monticello on Friday, December 13th, following with a home game against West Branch on Tuesday, December 17th. Coach Souhrada believes that the next two games the girls play will be challenging against Monticello and West Branch, both 3A teams. He is confident that the team will perform their best and have many Wilton supporters. Having excellent players on the Wilton team is also creating excellent leaders. Coach Souhrada believes his team will continue to show leadership and improve their skills. He states, “We have a lot of good athletes on our team. We have a lot of girls that will contribute and help lead this team. Hopefully, they will continue to get better each time out.”
